Hailing from a musical family in Los Angeles, Anna Marie has always had music in her blood. Her mother sang the blues, her father and brother both drummers, Anna Marie grew up with a strong musical influence and background playing drums and singing. With the influences of Etta James, Koko Taylor, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight and Nancy Wilson her soulful sultry style gives a full bodied sound with flairs of gospel and counter rhythm vocal lines. She connects to her audience with ease and grace contrasted by riveting lyrics and conveys to all present what is in her heart.
Jay Rodecap, Guitar/Vocals,
This blues aficionado’s influences of Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Robert Johnson, to name a few, have melded into one of New Mexico’s premier lead guitarists. Having headlined bands in Dallas and locally in such successes as Rodestar and Fenderbenders, Jay has entertained audiences for over 40 years while growing his custom home construction and renovation business. Whether writing original blues or ripping emotional lead solos, his refined talent draws fans from teenage PS3 RockStar protégées to accomplished musicians.
Dave Aubol, Bass/Vocals
David grew up on a small ranch just south of Albuquerque, on which the family raised cattle, chickens, & horses. After being a choral education major, David performed with Bo Diddely, Willie Nelson, Mose Allison, Herb Ellis, Sherry Payne, & Carmine Appice, and opened for Tower of Power, Herbie Mann, Cal Tjader, and The Bellamy Brothers. He moved to the LA area for 22 years where he played and sang in night clubs, and in concert at the Music Center, on Grammy nominated CDs and on National Commercials. Dave Williams, Keys & Sax
Dave Williams has been performing in the Albuquerque music scene since 1984. Dave has performed with the Strawberry Zots, Dem Bones, The Liz Melendez Band, The Fabulous Martini Tones and Roger Jameson. Dave brings his talents of piano, organ and saxophone to the Bad Katz, adding his unique and genuine heart and soul love for music in every song.
